Before I started writing, I wish someone had given me some of the following advice.
1. Be discipline and set aside time to write every day.
2. Designate a space to write--so you won't have distractions.
3. Make an outline.
4. Don't worry about making corrections as you write.
5. Join a critique writing group--the members will make you a better writer.
6. Develop a thick skin--not everyone is going to like your book and everyone will have positive and negative comments.
7. Take a break often when writing.
8. Participate in other activities--you will be surprised at the inspiration you'll receive. from the locations and people.
9. Research how you'll have your book published.
